The archipelago of Cape Verde (Cabo Verde in Portuguese) is constituted by ten islands that rise up out of the Atlantic Ocean off the Senegalese coast. Cabo Verde is the ideal destination for those looking to relax and to play some sport, but – above all – it is the perfect location for coming into direct contact with untainted nature, thanks to its endless, deserted, white sandy beaches, its dry, warm climate (25°C in winter and 30°C in summer) and its welcoming, turquoise waters (from 21°C to 27°C). The gentle, sociable character of the locals, the political and financial stability of the Republic of Cape Verde and the total absence of serious diseases such as malaria and yellow fever all combine to make Cape Verde an exceptionally attractive option. Moreover, this earthly paradise is easy to reach from the main European capitals, with daily flights (lasting 3 to 6 hours) landing at the international airport on the island of Sal. The other islands of the archipelago are connected to Sal by internal flights and sea routes. |
